Delhi, India: Traveling for 20 Dollars a Day – Ep 18

I’m in Delhi, India’s capital region, and today I’ll try to eat as much street food as I can to complete the never-before-attempted DELHI BELLY CHALLENGE: eat 1,000 rupees worth of INDIAN STREET FOOD in a single day. Is it possible? Watch and find out…

The Delhi Belly Challenge

Typically when I film one of these videos there’s at least a remote challenge in finding the best value for my 20 dollars. But since Delhi is so outrageously cheap, I decided it would be more of a challenge/more entertaining for you if I try to spend all of today’s money exclusively on street food, which is famously cheap and notoriously risky for the western gastrointestinal system.

The food is delicious on the streets, but it’s so rich, and often fried. Plus, each dish costs an average of about 30-50 rupees, so it’s incredibly difficult to spent that much money in a single day eating exclusively street food, assuming your stomach holds up.

Think you can complete the Delhi Belly Challenge?!

If you film a video attempting this same challenge and post it to YouTube, I’ll share it on my Facebook page!

  1. how was your experience in Delhi ?

    • It was great, but I got a little sick after filming this episode. Because it is so loud and busy in Delhi (like, insanely busy), I suggest heading to Lodi Garden; it’s the quietest, most natural escape you’ll find, and it’s right in the middle of the city.

  2. Great city and an enjoyable video.

  3. Great Video Kevin. It reenlightened my taste buds.

Let me know what you think
