(VIDEO) Chinese Dumpling Soup!

Nothing warms me up better than a hot bowl of Chinese dumpling soup (hùndùn). This combination of savory dumplings and noodles can satiate even the hardiest appetite on a cold winter day. Watch this video and be jealous!

For only 3.5 yuan (about 50 cents) I like to buy a bowl of Chinese dumpling soup for lunch. The bowl is filled to the brim with delicious meat-filled dumplings and chopped scallions in a salty sweet broth.

One of my favorite parts of sitting down to eat this for lunch is the interesting little chairs around the dining tables. These miniature stools look like they’re designed for munchkins, but they are actually really comfortable. I feel like a giant every time I sit down to devour a bowl of this soup!

I actually got two bowls of dumpling soup because it’s that good. I was stuffed. Since it’s only 3.5 yuan per bowl, I have a feeling I’m going to have a dumpling belly before winter is over.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Have you located employment after ESL. Tell us about your teaching secrets.

    • Jack, thanks for the comment.
Sorry but I’m not really sure how to answer your question. Could you be a little more clear?

      • What are you currently doing for employment?

        • I’m not currently employed because I’m still waiting for my new working visa. But in my free time, I like to attend meetings which take place in a large room where Chinese people gather to practice English a few days a week. 😉

          • Rizhau vs Qingdao any thoughts there? I have thoughts about teaching English but as a contracted tutor one on one or say max five at a time. Avoids the situation u found ur self in, but not sure about getting work papers. I want to come 4 the new year to say HK and then visit the coastal cities including Yantai.

  2. Looks delicious, Pork? 🙂
