White Guy in China – An original rap song about life as a foreigner in the PRC. In the chorus I say “you can call me laowai.” Laowai is a slightly derogatory term for foreigner. This is a joke, and not intended to be taken seriously. Enjoy!

The song and video are completely original. I used Garage Band to create the beat and record the vocals. I edited the video with iMovie. The footage was filmed with a Canon EOS D600 camera.

White Guy in China was filmed in Rizhao, Shandong Province, China.

Special thanks to my friend Katherine (Huimin Jiao). She was the girl shaking my hand, and later staring at me in the video.
