Traveling for $20 A Day: Beijing, China – Ep 4

We visited BEIJING, China and saw Tiananmen Square, Qianmen Street, Houhai, Nanluoguxiang, the Capital Museum, and other places. We ate roujiamo, Beijing style noodles, and other delicious Beijing street food and beer, PLUS we rented bicycles and got a room in a hostel – ALL FOR 20 DOLLARS (130RMB)! Mao Zedong would be impressed.

  3. Beijing subway use to be pretty cheap when I was young , just 3cents 15years ago , and 30cents until 2015. Just increased price last year , but still cheapest in the world for subway .

  9. If you’re still in BJ, excellent bike riding around the campuses of Peking and Tsinghua Universities. They are only a few miles from each other. You find reasonably priced food on campus (priced at student rates) at the convenience stores and in the cafeterias and you meet some interesting and curious people as well
  10. Haven’t been back for three years. Miss my hometown. Hope you guys have a great time visiting Beijing.
