Street Food Showdown continues with an extra special INTERNATIONAL battle between two street food GIANTS: Beijing and Bangkok… Two cities with a totally distinct style of street food. One opportunity for glory. This truly is an EPIC clash between Chinese street food and Thailand street food!
Representing China, our vendor from Beijing cooks up Kao Leng Mian 烤冷面, a Beijing classic cooked comprised of one giant noodle sheet wrapped around various fillings and sliced into pieces.
Representing Thailand, our vendor from Bangkok prepares Pad Thai ผัดไทย: a signature Thailand street food dish comprised of noodles, eggs, tofu, and – in this case – shrimp.
Who won? Watch and decide for yourself! Leave a comment and let me know whose street food you’d like to eat the most.

- I’m from China but I’ll have to give the winner to Pad Thai.
- I live in Beijing right now and I’m literally about to close my laptop and go find this dynamic duo. GIVE ME THE KAO LENG MIAN.
- you are telling me that all them expensive ass pad thai i ve been gettn in them thai resturants here in the US is just a simple street food in thailand????
- I love Chinese food, but gotta admit Bangkok has the best street food scene I’ve ever experienced. I’ll go for #2
- thai food is the best, taste variety in one dish , sour from tammarind juice, salty from fishsauce, sweet from coconut sugar, creamy and good smell from lard, spicy if u add chilli.
- No contest ,pad thai win hands down but i like your video so funny
- I am Chinese but i have to say that padthai looks amazing….Kang leng mian is not a top street snack in China so it’s not really a fair battle.
- Ive never ever spent 80฿ for Pad Thai even though I’m thai! How funny it is. lol I occasionally pay 35-40฿ for this dish, but I regularly cook it myself. This vid kinda open up my world. Anyway, Kao Leng Mian looks so yummy. I would say they are all the best.
- this video deserves way more views. way better than anything you’d find on the travel channel.
- And was there any real comparison? haha! Each of you only tried one individual entree. You should have tried both of the meals and compared. But entree #2 looked more appetizing! Nice video!
